Love and Long, L.L.P. represented Brick City Development Corporation, Newark’s economic development catalyst, in the partial financing of the renovation and preservation of a vacant warehouse building
The building is located at 45-57 Edison Place into a mixed-use development consisting of two restaurants, totaling 10,370 square feet and commercial office space totaling 19,630 square feet.
The project is part of the redevelopment of three contiguous dilapidated properties at the northeast entrance to the new Prudential Center. The revitalization of Edison Place is critical to the redevelopment of the Newark Downtown Core as it has the potential to become an exciting “Restaurant Row,” servicing Newark residents as well as visitors to the Prudential Center and the daytime office population.
