Lisa D. Love is an attorney concentrating in municipal and corporate finance, real estate development, project finance, corporate governance, commercial lending, equity investments, licensing, public finance, public private partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, and securities and represents Federal and state public agencies, Fortune 100 companies, middle market businesses and non-profit corporations.
Lisa serves as General Counsel to the African American Museum In Philadelphia and has represented the Newark Museum and the Newark Arts Council. In her over thirty year legal career, Lisa has earned several awards and commendations from clients and legal organizations including recognitions by the Women’s Fund as an “Outstanding Women in the Field of Real Estate” and recognition by the U.S. Department of Treasury for outstanding legal services provided by the firm under her direction for the Small Business Lending Fund Program in which the firm closed over $2.4 billion of equity investments in financial institutions on behalf of Treasury.
Lisa is a member of the National Bar Association and its Real Estate and Probate Law, Commercial Law, Corporate Law and International Law Sections. Lisa is a Fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) holding the office of Treasurer and chairing its Finance Committee and the Task Force on Legal Diversity. Lisa is the past co-chair of its Transactional Area Practice Group. Lisa was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors of Women Owned Law. Lisa is a member of Ladies First (women in municipal finance), the National Association of Women Lawyers, the National Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association – Dispute Resolution Section and Garibaldi Inns of Court.
Ms. Love is trained in collaborative dispute resolution, mediation, arbitration and negotiation. Ms. Love is an arbitrator with FINRA and the American Arbitration Association, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a fellow in the joint program of the Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution and the Legal Council on Legal Diversity to expand the ranks of diverse attorneys as mediators and arbitrators especially in the area of transactional law.

Prior Relevant Experience:
Ms. Love was employed by a Madison Avenue, New York law firm employing 250+ attorneys, formerly known as Rosenman & Colin, where she gained extensive experience for over eleven years in the Corporate Department with an emphasis project development, corporate finance, syndicated loan facilities, equity financing, bond finance, DIP financing, mergers and acquisitions and acquisition financing. Ms. Love has represented the Resolution Trust Company in real estate roll-up and syndication transactions. In addition, she has served as chief legal counsel to several public entities and has extensive experience managing both internal and outside counsel. Ms. Love is a former Adjunct Professor in the Legal Studies Department of Montclair State University.
