(February 7, 2023 – United Nations, New York, New York) Lisa D. Love, Esq., FCIArb, arbitrator, mediator and commercial transactions attorney, attended the 77th Session of UNCITRAL Working Group II: Dispute Settlement as a delegate on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). The Session focused on early dismissals and preliminary determinations, technology and construction related dispute resolution and adjudication, and expedited arbitration, including resolution by specialist neutrals.
The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) is the core legal body of the United Nations system in the field of international trade law, which develops a global set of standards and rules to harmonize and modernize the assortment of national and regional regulations. UNCITRAL texts are developed through an international process involving its 60 member States and a variety of governmental and non-governmental participants.
