Newark attorney, Lisa D. Love of Love and Long, L.L.P. was honored as a distinguished “Woman in Real Estate” by the Women’s Fund of New Jersey. Love, considered a leader in the real estate field, was recognized for the value of her accomplishments in the industry at the 9th Annual Gala at the Forsgate Country Club, Monroe Township, New Jersey. “Each year the Women’s Fund of New Jersey recognizes and honors executive women in a distinct field of business. This year was the Women’s Fund’s Ninth Annual Fall Gala and honored women of accomplishment in the Field of Real Estate,” said Reginald Long, Esq. of Love and Long, LLP. “We’re all very proud Lisa was selected as one of the “Women Advancing Real Estate” in New Jersey.” Love stated that she was “deeply impressed with the mission of the Women’s Fund of New Jersey. I am a strong believer in opportunities that enable women to live without discrimination, or fear of violence and earn equal pay for equal work. The Women’s Fund of New Jersey is making a difference in the lives of women throughout the state. It’s an honor for me to be recognized by such an organization for my work in the field of real estate”, said Love.
In her private practice, Ms. Love is managing partner of Love and Long and concentrates in the areas of commercial real estate, banking, corporate finance and municipal law. She represents major financial institutions, providing almost twenty years of commercial and business lending services. In addition, she represents profit and non-profit real estate developers providing affordable housing and developing other residential, commercial and mixed use projects. Her practice spans four states – New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia and her distinguished legal career has earned her several awards and commendations from clients and legal organizations.
Lisa is a board member of the National Association of Real Estate Professionals and the New Jersey Association of Real Estate Attorneys. She is a member of the National Bar Association, the Essex County Bar Association – Banking Law Section and Real Estate Section, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association where she was appointed to serve on the state committee overseeing the conduct of attorneys.
Lisa is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Northeastern University and is a former Adjunct Professor in the Legal Studies Department of Montclair State University. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
