July 23, 2020 (Washington, D.C.) At the NBA WLD’s Virtual Annual Award Reception, Lisa D. Love, along with other prestigious African American women lawyers, was recognized by WLD for her outstanding achievements in the practice of law in a small legal firm of profound distinction. The National Bar Association Women Lawyers Division (WLD) was established in 1972 as a vehicle for women in the practice of law to address the issues and problems that particularly affect, interest, and concern African American women lawyers. Through the WLD, women lawyers have made a significant impact on the goals and directions of the NBA and have established new dimensions of sensitivity as it addresses legal issues affecting women, children, the family, and the African American community as a whole.
